Kitchen

This room was designed for a modern intelligent family where comfort and convenience are essential. My design celebrates the architecture by respecting the scale and proportion of each of the spaces, making sure they complement one another while allowing each to maintain its own distinct character. With that in mind, it was my intention to create spaces emphasizing antiques, contemporary art, and a sophisticated color palette.

Backsplash Tile: Handmade tile by Gainey, Elements Series, Color, Ivory Crackle.

The first course of the backsplash uses a Simple Base molding with 3"x6" field tile above set in a brickbond pattern. Above the stove is a chair rail molding framing in a field of rhomboid tile set horizontally.

Countertop: Carrera Marble
